Proje Bilgileri:

This project aims at developing four terminal perovskite/silicon tandem solar panels with 30 mW/cm2 power density output and capable of passing fundamental damping tests. Both subcells (i.e. perovskite modüle and bifacial silicon solar cell) will be provided by both institutes to this project. This project deals with developing cost-effective solutions to integrate top and bottom sub-cells in a single four terminal bifacial tandem module. The integration of two subcells and mini-module development will be done in four steps (1) Alignment of subcells considering shadowing of perovskite module on silicon solar cell. (2) Low temperature processable polymers will be applied to laminate both subcells together and laminate them in between glasses. Refractive index of the encapsulation material will be taken into account to minimize internal reflections. Chemical interactions between the encapsulation materials and perovskite solar modules that are particularly important due to lower stability of perovskite will be limited. (3) Various alternatives of electrical connections and feedthroughs, specialized for the type of encapsulation (glass/glass/foil/glass), will be explored. (4) Finally, edge isolation will be performed by encapsulation materials, epoxy, etc. If needed a frame will be applied to protect edges of the modules as well as to be able to mount the module to the text platform. Fabricated modules will be tested both indoor and outdoor platforms.
